In the summer of 2017, my wife and I decided to begin our search for a beautiful lake view property with the hopes of building a retirement home based in Kelowna, B.C. We searched numerous areas and finally stumbled upon McKinley Beach which we felt was the perfect area for us. We looked at many homes in the area and talked to several of the builders. As we looked, my wife and I kept being drawn back to the finishing work of Link Custom Homes. The quality was incredible, and the style fit us perfectly.
Calvin Link was extremely easy to work with. The process to quote and build a home was efficient, stress free and in the end very precise. One of the big concerns when building a home is the rough budget. Calvin’s attention to detail and the concise methods of cost transparency during the building process avoided any costly builder run up’s that can occur when building a custom home. Calvin and his team made it easy for us to have a custom home built while not even living in the same province for the duration of the build. We were kept up to date on every detail that was happening and were sent pictures as big changes started to take place in the development process.
My wife and I have built 3 homes during our life together. This build by far was the smoothest and most stress-free build we have ever done. Our home’s result is truly fantastic both in quality and style. Calvin and his team were awesome and incredibly easy to work with and in the end, we felt more like friends rather than just another customer wanting a house built. Calvin and his team were fabulous to work with. Being from out of province, building long distance normally has added challenges but the communication between Calvin and ourselves made everything flow smoothly. Post occupancy service has also been great. Any small deficiencies were dealt with quickly and professionally.

It’s a pleasure for me to recommend Calvin Link as your next new home contractor. Prior to my choosing Calvin Link to build my dream home I had checked out many other contractors for my project. I chose Calvin Link for many reasons. His fee was reasonable for what my build required. I felt that we would work well togather and that we would end up as friends at the end of the build. He was very open to my opinion during the build and had many good suggestions for my house during the build. He kept on budget even with the many changes that come up on any build. He was on schedule with the build which was very important as we had a rental agreement to a specific date. What I found very important was the fact that after a year and a half from completion on the build the house had had very little follow up items to address. All new builds can have many issues after completion but my house has had no major hiccups. I am very pleased. He built my dream home on budget, on schedule, no compromises , and best if all we are still friends. I would highly recommend Calvin Link for your next home contractor. Thanks Calvin
